#SWIM event in Rijeka, Croatia

Vere Montis and Swimming Club “Forca” Unite to Promote Inclusive Swimming

Rijeka, Croatia – In a groundbreaking event that marks a significant leap towards inclusivity in sports, Vere Montis, in collaboration with the “Forca” Swimming Club of Rijeka, showcased their commitment to making swimming accessible to individuals with disabilities. The event, which was a resounding success, underscored the importance of tailored programs that cater to the unique needs of each swimmer, including non-swimmers, ensuring everyone has the opportunity to experience the joy and benefits of swimming.

The “Forca” Swimming Club, renowned for its dedication to excellence in disability swimming, has once again demonstrated its commitment through this collaborative initiative. By offering customized training sessions led by professional coaches and utilizing specially adapted equipment, the club provides a nurturing environment where participants can hone their skills and gain confidence in the water.

This collaboration also served as a platform for Vere Montis to introduce the #SWIM! – Swim Without Fear project. This innovative initiative, supported by the Erasmus+ programme, is designed to address hydrophobia among young children by fostering a positive relationship with water. The project’s goal is to compile a comprehensive good practice guide to assist both parents and organizations within the watersports sector in supporting children’s aquatic journey.
